December 28, 2009

I figure I'll tell you a little bit more about our investigators. The main one I want to talk to you about is Hunter and Danae. Danae is Hunter's mom. We found them knocking. She has 3 kids. She had her first one at the age 15. She became a member after having her second child at the age 19. She moved around a lot and fell away. When we found her, she was smokin' like a chimney. She hasn't smoked for over a week and is done now. She prayed about our mesage and she said he strongest warmth and light entered the room. She's already on 1 Nephi 17... in a week. She is so excited and knows it's true, again. She and Hunter came to church this Sunday. They loved it! Hunter is 10 and unbaptized. So, look forward to that in a few weeks. That kid is soooo hyper. Pray for them. I love them. They fed us on Sunday. That is the greatest sign of electness.

Other than that, we've got Stephanie and Steve. They didn't make it to church because they were taking care of Nathan. He was throwing up. They did, however, make it to the gun shooting activity on Saturday and loved it. They did miss the sweet lesson on becoming Gods... jk. It was good they missed it. Sunday was deeper than it should have been.

This week was rough for the work. Everyone was out of town. Nobody, but Hunter, came to church. Saturday was nice though. We were able to do real missionary work. We even found this deep south black lady, Liss Lee, that fed us gumbo and sent us on our way. Gumbo is good!

The Tapia family, Spanish family of 12, just lost their jobs. Sad story, right? Now they can come to church though! So, looking forward to that.

Ashley, Roman's girlfriend that we fasted for, she just barely got kicked out of her house. She's living with her brother now. Sad news, but good news because God answered our fast. She can get baptized at anytime now. She's so ready, pray for her too.

Jonathan, the guy that will get baptized in UC, has quit using tobacco. We are with him on Christmas. He's praying right not to know what day to be baptized. He knows it will be soon.

So all in all, everything is going well and I never want to come home. :)
